This brand performs well but is not very sturdy. The item I received came with a loose faceplate but I was so excited I didn't think anything of it. The screen is responsive and bright and sounds great on CD mode, but it isn't very loud when on DVD mode. The sound quality is excellent and even sounded great playing through my stock speakers.
Unfortunately after having the unit installed for a few months the faceplate came off completely. The warranty did not cover physical damage but the manufacturer handled the situation professionally and agreed to send me a new unit for the cost of a standard out of warranty repair.
That being said I'd definitely recommend buying this unit, but I wouldn't buy it from this site. These are actually sold through Amazon.com by another company called Discount Jungle. While I was satisfied with this unit it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a more expensive model thinking I was dealing with Amazon and received this one instead. Discount Jungle has terrible service and refused to send me the model I paid for. After being ignored and hung up on I decided to deal directly with Amazon and they solved my issue.

The Boss Audio BV9962 is a single-DIN multimedia receiver offering playback of DVDs, CDs and plenty more, including digital MP3/MP4/WMA files. Widescreen Entertainment and Versatile Media Playback
7-Inch Touchscreen
The BV9962 features a motorized, flip-out 7-inch widescreen display, complete with vertical angle adjustment for optimizing your viewing. Touchscreen controls make navigation of receiver features a breeze, and the brilliant monitor features a 1440 x 234 resolution and 600 NIT brightness--your video will look great.
When not in use, the screen folds up into the receiver, and a smaller secondary display is provided for normal operation. The front panel is also fully detachable for security when you're away from the vehicle.
Media Versatility
The BV9962 will play back your DVDs/SDVDs, SVCDs/VCDs, CDs, CD-R/Ws, and WMA/MP4/MP3 files. The ESP anti-skip mechanism ensures your music or video isn't interrupted by any bumps in the road, and playback features such as a mute function, intro scan, and last position memory are all included.
When listening to digital files, enjoy full ID3 tag display of artist/track info, and you can dial in the sound with separate bass and treble EQ controls, along with balance/fader.
USB and SD Connectivity
In addition to the above disc formats, the BV9962 features a USB port and SD Card jack, so you can instantly swap out USB thumb drives or SD cards with a fresh batch of MP3/WMA/MP4 format tunes/podcasts/etc. for your enjoyment.

AM/FM Radio
Enjoy your favorite radio programming with the PLL-synthesized tuner, featuring 30 station presets for instant access to your preferred stations, and switchable USA/Europe radio frequencies.
Auxiliary Input
The convenient front-panel auxiliary input (3.5mm mini jack) is a great way to enjoy audio from external devices such as iPods and other MP3 players.
Power and Expandability
The BV9962 provides 85 Watts through four channels to start--not too shabby. If you'd like to expand your system, however, you can use the front/rear and subwoofer preamp outputs to add external amplifiers.
